Hi! I’m Carol and I swapped the haggis and whisky of Bonnie Scotland for the chocolate and cheese of stunning Geneva, Switzerland 15 years ago.
During this time I had a successful and financially rewarding career climbing the corporate ladder in the pharmaceutical industry. However, as for many people, the recent pandemic allowed me the time to reflect on my life goals and ask myself if I was truly happy to continue doing this type of work until retirement. The answer was a resounding ‘NO!’. I was tired of the endless stressful meetings and expectation to regularly work evenings and weekends with little gratitude. I felt unfulfilled and knew there must be a better way to live.
If something isn’t working it’s not failure, it’s the Universe trying to tell you that you are heading in the wrong direction.
I became interested in personal development some years ago, often attending courses in Geneva. One day I came across an advert offering an opportunity to run my own online business in this exact field. I took a leap of faith and have not looked back since. The feeling of freedom that comes with being my own boss, working where and when I want and being financially independent is second to none! I just wish I had made the change sooner.
